Equipment Lease

Can an attorney negotiate an equipment lease to own purchase
I enter into a lease to own purchase HVAC equipment agreement; unfortunately, have fallen behind on payments-would like to keep unit! - In need of an attorney
Donya G.
Hello, I can assist you in negotiating to keep the equipment. I would first need to review the agreement and advise of the terms in which we can achieve that based on your contract. I would then call the leasing company and negotiate a settlement if I can. It would be up to the language in the agreement and the parties to decide whether or not to accept the offer. I have negotiated settlements in the past for my clients and have extensive experience with it. If you would like my assistance, you can contact me through the website. Otherwise, you can post your job on the website for other attorneys to bid and apply to the job. All the best Donya Gordon

Terms and Conditions
Florida
Why are terms and conditions long?
I am a small business owner who is in the process of creating a website for my business. I have been researching terms and conditions for websites, and I noticed that most of them are very long. I want to make sure that my terms and conditions are comprehensive to protect my business, but I am worried that if they are too long, customers may not read them. That is why I am asking why terms and conditions are so long.
Diane D.
Because every type of situation needs to be covered to protect you. That cannot be done in a paragraph or two.

Settlement Agreement
Connecticut
How are disputes resolved in settlement agreements?
I recently reached a settlement agreement with another party in a dispute, and I am concerned about how disputes would be handled if they arise in the future. I understand that settlement agreements are legally binding contracts, but I am unsure of what the process is for resolving potential disputes that may arise. I would like to know what my rights are and how disputes are typically handled in settlement agreements.
Donya G.
Typically in a settlement agreement there are terms that identify what the parties can do if there is a dispute. If the settlement agreement does not have dispute resolution language, then the parties genrally refer to the contract the parties engaged in, if there was one, and look to the dispute resolution in that document. As a CT licensed contract attorney and arbitrator, I can assist you with dispute resolution. Please contact me if you need further assistance. Donya Gordon

Agreement Of Purchase And Sale
Texas
could the owner finance seller still be able to change the maturity date payment term of the contract post signature.
I sold my mortgage home by owner finance in 2016. It has 15 year maturity date term.
Max N.
Hello! Just to be clear, I am not licensed to practice in Texas, but I am a licensed attorney in Oklahoma. I have seen this question be unanswered for a while, so I thought I'd respond. Typically, once the parties have both agreed (by writing and signing) terms of a contract, including a maturity date for payment, the maturity date can only be changed by all parties in another signed writing. That means that one party (such as the owner finance seller) should not be able to change the payment terms of an agreement without your express approval. Hope that helps!

Software Agreement

Can a SaaS company terminate and agreement with a client?
We are a SaaS company that wants to get out of a relationship with a client. What are our options?
Christopher M.
Typically your options are going to be controlled by the SAAS Agreement or other contracts between you and the client. There should be a section in there called “Termination” or something similar. Really, it would require a review of the contract to give more specific advice on this one.
Quick, user friendly and one of the better ways I've come across to get ahold of lawyers willing to take new clients.
