Jason P.
Jason is a self-starting, go-getting lawyer who takes a pragmatic approach to helping his clients. He co-founded Fortify Law because he was not satisfied with the traditional approach to providing legal services. He firmly believes that legal costs should be predictable, transparent and value-driven. Jason’s entrepreneurial mindset enables him to better understand his clients’ needs. His first taste of entrepreneurship came from an early age when he helped manage his family’s small free range cattle farm. Every morning, before school, he would deliver hay to a herd of 50 hungry cows. In addition, he was responsible for sweeping "the shop" at his parent's 40-employee HVAC business. Before becoming a lawyer, he clerked at the Lewis & Clark Small Business Legal Clinic where he handled a diverse range of legal issues including establishing new businesses, registering trademarks, and drafting contracts. He also spent time working with the in-house team at adidas® where, among other things, he reviewed and negotiated complex agreements and created training materials for employees. He also previously worked with Meriwether Group, a Portland-based business consulting firm focused on accelerating the growth of disruptive consumer brands and facilitating founder exits. These experiences have enabled Jason to not only understand the unique legal hurdles that can threaten a business, but also help position them for growth. Jason's practice focuses on Business and Intellectual Property Law, including: -Reviewing and negotiating contracts -Resolving internal corporate disputes -Creating employment and HR policies -Registering and protecting intellectual property -Forming new businesses and subsidiaries -Facilitating Business mergers, acquisitions, and exit strategies -Conducting international business transactions In his free time, Jason is an adventure junkie and gear-head. Arbitration Agreement

Does the documents and photos I have enough to go to Arbitration
Contractor didn't do all the jobs he was hired to do and what he did do is unacceptable. For example, the Trex deck he built was improperly installed according to the Trex company and another Contractor. It will need to removed and replaced with the proper material/tools and measurements. Currently it is unsafe.
Donya G.
As an Arbitrator and someone who helps clients during their arbitration, I have learned that your evidence is critical to the success or failure of your case. So it is important to have as much evidence as possible and to notarize things you believe the other side would contest as not being real, true or authentic. If you need further assistance, you can contact me directly through contracts counsel. Donya Gordon

Demand Letter For Payment
Georgia
I am owed money for office work I did for a business owner that agreed to pay me for my hours, but hasn’t. I have sent a certified letter demanding my owed wages and the owner won’t respond to messages or anything….what should I do?
I was hired as a secretary for a small landscaping and grading company about a year and a half ago. The owner paid me for my hours I worked when I first started, but as a few months past, he fell behind on paying me and told me that he was going to pay me. After a few weeks I had to stop going there because he kept lying telling me he would pay me, but never did. I sent txt msgs and have proof of my wages owed and have sent a certified letter of demand but have not got a response. What are my next steps to file a lien or what to do?
Sunnita B.
Hello if you have sent a letter of demand the next step would be to file a small claims suit. However, depending on how much you are owed the suit may not be beneficial. Also, in order to recoup the money you have to go through litigation and win, then you have to figure out ways to get the money you are owed because the courts do not enforce money judgments.

Demand Letter
Delaware
Can you help me write and send a Demand Letter to PayPal Inc which is based in CA and my LLC was formed in DE
PayPal unlawfully took my money (over $7k) just like they did with Eric please see the post - https://www.pokertube.com/article/chris-moneymaker-lawyers-up-to-sue-paypal-for-seized-funds I joined the lawsuit but I know that some people got their money back by sending demand letters to PayPal so I want to send one too. I want your help to draft the letter and send the actual physical copy. Chances of it working are far greater if it is coming from an attorney than an individual.
Donya G.
Agreed; however, in order for a demand letter to be the most effective, it needs to be drafted by an attorney that is licensed in the state of the issue; for you, you will need a CA licensed attorney. This will ensure that when the demand letter is served by a CA attorney, the company will know that the attorney is licensed to bring a lawsuit in that state and therefore, it typically will ensure that it the demand letter is not ignored. You will need to post your job request on the website "Looking for a CA lawyer to send demand letter to PayPal" and outline what you need the lawyer to do. Lawyers licensed in CA will respond to your post, and after you speak with and choose a lawyer, the work can be done. Be sure to discuss and agree upon the price and the time in which you would like the work to be completed. All the best, Donya Gordon

Contractual Agreement
Florida
I am being harassed by a vendor for the balance due for product that i have not received yet. Can i take them to court?
After receiving the incorrect product, the vendor presented me with a fake contract with my signature copy pasted on it to tell me I i agreed on the replacement product for my order. They claim they had a second meeting with me and this new contract was signed but that never happened.
Donya G.
I would suggest hiring an attorney in your jurisdiction to send a cease and desist letter to the vendor or have them simply call the vendor nd tell them to stop harassing you. For a cease and desist to have the effect that matters, it should be from a licensed attorney in that state who can file any case in court if the matter is not addressed or continues to happen. I am an attorney licensed in New York and Connecticut. There are numerous attorneys on this website from other states. If you would like me to assist, please contact me through the site or post your jobs for another attorney. All the best Donya Gordon

View Trustpilot ReviewContracts Counsel was incredibly helpful and easy to use. I submitted a project for a lawyer's help within a day I had received over 6 proposals from qualified lawyers. I submitted a bid that works best for my business and we went forward with the project.
View Trustpilot ReviewI never knew how difficult it was to obtain representation or a lawyer, and ContractsCounsel was EXACTLY the type of service I was hoping for when I was in a pinch. Working with their service was efficient, effective and made me feel in control. Thank you so much and should I ever need attorney services down the road, I'll certainly be a repeat customer.
