In my thirteen years of practice, I've had the opportunity to argue cases in state, federal, and tribal courts; in subjects as diverse as gaming, land tenure, water rights, treaty rights, finance, employment, criminal defense, conflict of laws, and tort (among others). But the real value I brought my clients came through avoiding litigation, fostering relationships, and developing long-term strategies.

I began my career with the U.S. Senate Energy Committee, where I gained insights into regulatory frameworks and the legislative processes. Following that, I honed my skills as a law clerk and prosecutor, providing me with a solid foundation in litigation and public service. My time working at reputable law firms focused on commercial litigation and criminal defense and has equipped me with the tools to navigate complex legal disputes effectively. Additionally, I worked as US Legal Counsel to an international energy corporation which has given me a unique perspective on the legal challenges faced by businesses today. This multifaceted experience allows me to offer clients comprehensive legal solutions tailored to their specific needs. I am fluent in Spanish.

I have had an interest and drive for environmental justice for as long as I can remember. Childhood experiences led me to exploration within an undergraduate philosophy course that centered on the question if there is a way to enforce an environmental ethic based on the U.S. Constitution. I have continued to explore and pursue that question. I currently live in the Eel River watershed, and am deeply interested in free flowing healthy rivers and tributaries. As I begin my legal career, I plan to work for ecological health, and towards shifting paradigms from property rights to collective ecological responsibilities, especially through dam removal and Ancestral land access and Land Back/rematriation models.

As a Legal and Business Affairs executive, with over 12 years of experience, I’ve worked with various entertainment companies, brands, and talent to support their creative goals, while monetizing their influence. Most recently at Sony Pictures Television, I’ve worked with HBO, DISCOVERY, and DISNEY/Marvel. I’ve also worked on brand campaigns for Dove, Sephora, HomeGoods, and many more. I’m now open to working with clients seeking legal and business affairs support.
