A: Yes. If the state has laws that would limit liability or outline that certain conduct in that state would be the burden of the owner, that would be difficult and sometimes prohibited from being passed on to others

A: Typically in a settlement agreement there are terms that identify what the parties can do if there is a dispute. If the settlement agreement does not have dispute resolution language, then the parties genrally refer to the contract the parties engaged in, if there was one, and look to the dispute resolution in that document. As a CT licensed contract attorney and arbitrator, I can assist you with dispute resolution. Please contact me if you need further assistance. Donya Gordon

A: Hello, Congratulations on your business. Here are some things that need to be in the agreement - amount you will pay them, when you will pay, the term of the employment, confidentiality, non solicit. Since you have never done this before, I would like to suggest that you hire an attorney to get it done to ensure it is done correctly. I am a NY attorney with over 20 years of experience. I assist small businesses like yours with their employment, vendor, investment and all their contract needs. I would love to assist you. You can contact me on the Contracts Counsel website or on my personal page - Donya Gordon Looking forward to talking to and working with you Sincerely Donya Gordon

A: Hello, I am sorry for the mix up. I worked with a client last year with similar circumstances. She was overpaid as well. We had a hearing and it was determined, since she had never filed before and English is not her first language that she had not done it intentionally so that fine on the payment was removed. That being said, if you were overpaid, you will need to repay the amount. She signed up on a payment plan. I suggest you do the same. If you need to engage my services to assist you, you can find me on Contracts Counsel website or my personal page Regards Donya Gordon
