Does the documents and photos I have enough to go to Arbitration
Contractor didn't do all the jobs he was hired to do and what he did do is unacceptable. For example, the Trex deck he built was improperly installed according to the Trex company and another Contractor. It will need to removed and replaced with the proper material/tools and measurements. Currently it is unsafe.
Donya G.
As an Arbitrator and someone who helps clients during their arbitration, I have learned that your evidence is critical to the success or failure of your case. So it is important to have as much evidence as possible and to notarize things you believe the other side would contest as not being real, true or authentic. If you need further assistance, you can contact me directly through contracts counsel. Donya Gordon

Cease and Desist Letter Request
Good morning, My question is in regards to writing a Cease and Desist letter. Background information: In 2019, I was left with a bill of approximately $6,000 for a friends Bridal Shower & Wedding related expenses. These expenses were agreed upon by the bridal party to be split between 5 people. On Friday, December 24, upon request from the family of the bride, promises were made to refund the money. On Monday, December 27, the family disputed the fees stating they were not obligated to pay the expenses. I, unfortunately, don't have anything in writing to show that the bridal party agreed to pay as the messages via Instagram were deleted. The bridal party and I had a falling out after the wedding as I was upset that the original agreement wasn't upheld. Since then, the bride has made false allegations about me and made up several stories about me to others to try to deflect from the actual issue. Today: I don't believe I have a leg to stand on regarding the money, however, on Monday, December 27, I, myself, and my mother received harassing phone calls from the family and bridal party with threats and false allegations. I would like to request a Cease and Desist letter, or another form of legal letter to address the harassment and demand that lies about me are no longer told. If there is another route that may be more appropriate, I appreciate any advice. Thank you.
T. Phillip B.
You could use a cease and desist letter which states you will pursue your other legal remedies if they fail to stop. You shouldn't have much of an issue trying to prove the harassment as it has happened to you and if it continues. For the lies being told, you will need to have proof which means those she told will have to testify. If you have damages, you'll have to allege those too with some sort of proof.

Do you take cases for unemployment overpayment benefits?
In 2020 during covid my business was forced to shut down. I was also working, I had a job and I owned an event planning business. before filing for UI I called in to ensure I was able to file for the PUA for my business. I was told by the representative yes I can. in her words she said "anyone can apply for the PUA" she did not explained to me that I cannot apply if I had another job, or what the conditions were, as I have never filed for or been on unemployment in my life until covid happened. In september 2022 I received a letter stating that I was overpaid benefits in the amount of $62000. I filed for a weaver which I was not qualified for, then I appealed and the judge ordered a recalculation and that amount went from $62K to $58K. I cannot pay this money and I need help in fighting that this was not my fault. My taxes will be garnished every year until this is paid off. I am hoping someone out there can be of assistance to me, I really need it.
Donya G.
Hello, I am sorry for the mix up. I worked with a client last year with similar circumstances. She was overpaid as well. We had a hearing and it was determined, since she had never filed before and English is not her first language that she had not done it intentionally so that fine on the payment was removed. That being said, if you were overpaid, you will need to repay the amount. She signed up on a payment plan. I suggest you do the same. If you need to engage my services to assist you, you can find me on Contracts Counsel website or my personal page Regards Donya Gordon

Demand Letter For Payment
Georgia
I am owed money for office work I did for a business owner that agreed to pay me for my hours, but hasn’t. I have sent a certified letter demanding my owed wages and the owner won’t respond to messages or anything….what should I do?
I was hired as a secretary for a small landscaping and grading company about a year and a half ago. The owner paid me for my hours I worked when I first started, but as a few months past, he fell behind on paying me and told me that he was going to pay me. After a few weeks I had to stop going there because he kept lying telling me he would pay me, but never did. I sent txt msgs and have proof of my wages owed and have sent a certified letter of demand but have not got a response. What are my next steps to file a lien or what to do?
Sunnita B.
Hello if you have sent a letter of demand the next step would be to file a small claims suit. However, depending on how much you are owed the suit may not be beneficial. Also, in order to recoup the money you have to go through litigation and win, then you have to figure out ways to get the money you are owed because the courts do not enforce money judgments.
Quick, user friendly and one of the better ways I've come across to get ahold of lawyers willing to take new clients.
