Project Description

In 2023, a personal client in New York sought assistance with drafting a content license agreement as they prepared to collaborate with a business owner on design services for children's toys and branding. The client aimed to establish a mutually beneficial arrangement, where they would provide design skills in exchange for a share of retail profits for a specified period. They wanted to ensure that copyright ownership remained with the business while including provisions for any original, patentable ideas that might arise in the future. As a result, the client received seven proposals from licensed lawyers, with flat fee bids ranging from $400 to $1,200, all submitted to complete the project within the requested deadline of over a week.
