"D.P. Provided a quick bid and competitive fee for service. He did exceed the agreed to timeline but when I reread the project bid, it was an estimate so we set a firm deadline which he did meet. Receipt of the pre-revised document did not account for all background information provided (assumably because it was hurried). He was however diligent in the revision process and I am satisfied with the final result."

Project Description

In 2022, a business in Georgia posted a project seeking assistance with drafting an equipment lease. The client, a young trucking authority registered with the FMCSA, was transitioning from using a rental truck to securing a company-owned vehicle. They needed a formal contract that accurately reflected their verbal agreement regarding the lease of a financed truck, which would protect their interests and address potential conflicts arising from the owner's finance contract. As a result, the client received one proposal from a licensed lawyer, with a flat fee bid ranging from $1,000, all submitted to meet the client's deadline of less than a week.

Can an attorney negotiate an equipment lease to own purchase

I enter into a lease to own purchase HVAC equipment agreement; unfortunately, have fallen behind on payments-would like to keep unit! - In need of an attorney

Hello, I can assist you in negotiating to keep the equipment. I would first need to review the agreement and advise of the terms in which we can achieve that based on your contract. I would then call the leasing company and negotiate a settlement if I can. It would be up to the language in the agreement and the parties to decide whether or not to accept the offer. I have negotiated settlements in the past for my clients and have extensive experience with it. If you would like my assistance, you can contact me through the website. Otherwise, you can post your job on the website for other attorneys to bid and apply to the job. All the best Donya Gordon
