Project Description

In 2026, an individual in New Mexico sought legal assistance to draft a demand letter related to their grandfather's belongings. The client faced a challenging situation, as their grandfather was residing in a senior living facility after a health crisis, and there were concerns about his daughter attempting to misuse a power of attorney to change vehicle titles. Given the sensitive circumstances, including a restraining order against the daughter, the client aimed to notify her of a 30-day deadline to collect the grandfather's property, emphasizing the inclusion of firearms that would need to be surrendered to law enforcement if not retrieved. As a result, the client received three proposals from licensed attorneys, with flat fee bids ranging from $299 to $1,500, all submitted to complete the work

Can I get helping drafting a demand letter to my former company for my employment claims

I have potential employment related claims for discrimination, harassment, etc against my former employer. And wish to send a demand letter to offer early settlement. Need help with drafting this letter

Sure. It’s wise to have an attorney review any correspondence you’d send to an adversary you’re contemplating legal action against and it is often the case that such a letter when issued on an attorney’s letterhead triggers a response. That said, employment law is tricky since MA is an at will state meaning an employer can terminate for any reason at all outside of racial/sex/orientation bases or retaliation . Obviously there are nuances, but these are the broad strokes.
