How to Fill out a Lawn Care Service Agreement Template —and What it Contains
Here’s what you’ll find in ContractsCounsel’s template. We provide information on how to fill it out so you have a clear and factual agreement.
Personal Info
At the start of the agreement, you and the other party will fill out your full names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. You’ll also fill in the date of the agreement.
Terms of Work
This section outlines how the service provider will provide lawn care and maintenance. Tick the box that applies to the services you want or will provide, such as mowing, edging, weed control, or other.
Service Frequency
The services will begin on a specific date until termination. Fill in the date and tick a box for service frequency, such as monthly or biweekly.
Compensation
Fill out the amounts the client agrees to pay the service provider by ticking the appropriate box. For example, how many dollars will be paid per visit or month.
There’s also a section detailing when payments are due. Tick the appropriate box, such as “upon completion of each visit” or “monthly.”
If there are late payments, you can fill in a fee amount that will be charged. Select how many days after an overdue payment in which the fee must be paid.
Equipment and Materials
The service provider will ensure that they have all tools and equipment they require to complete their duties. If they don’t, this will have to be agreed on in writing.
Weather Delays
If there is bad weather, the service provider will reschedule their visit without penalty.
Terms and Termination
If either party wishes to terminate the contract, they must give at least seven days’ written notice. The client will pay for all services rendered until that date.
Access and Safety
The service provider will have access to work on the provider but not be held responsible for damage, such as to unmarked underground utilities. It’s also the service provider’s responsibility to have liability insurance coverage.
Governing Law
The parties will decide which state laws govern the contract and in which states they will be able to file legal action, if required.
Execution
At the end of the contract, you will fill out the date of the agreement execution date and provide your signatures and names.
