What is an Admission Agreement?
An admission agreement is a legal contract that communicates the terms and conditions surrounding admission into a healthcare facility. The contract includes information about what services the facility offers, what care the patient will receive, and what rules and regulations both parties must follow under the contract. It also includes details about protocols in place the protect patient privacy and may require patients to sign consent forms to receive care.
The purpose of the admission agreement is to protect the legal interests of both parties involved in the contract. This ensures that if legal complaints arise, there is adequate documentation to show what agreements were made at the time of admission.
