What is a Food Business License?
A food business license is a legal document issued by a government agency that authorizes an entity to provide food services to the public. The food business license typically requires license holders to obtain special accreditations surrounding food safety, which includes how to properly store and cook food to eliminate the risk of food borne illnesses spreading to the public. By obtaining this type of licensure, food-related business owners can legally operate within the geographical boundaries of the area from which the license is granted.
