What is a Form Of Escrow Agreement?
A form of escrow agreement is a legal contract that guarantees a third party will hold the funds or property during an exchange. It typically applies to real estate transactions, loan agreements, and other agreements where parties have different levels of trust between them.
Escrows are often utilized when two parties have different objectives for an agreement or transaction, such as in cases where someone needs money now but wants it back at some point in the future. Banks also use them to ensure their clients don't take out more debt than they can afford to repay. In addition, this type of contract prevents fraud by requiring both sides to agree on how much money should be transferred into escrow before any payment is made.
