What is a Purchase and Sale Agreement?
Note that a purchase and sale agreement is a legal document prepared after a buyer and seller agree to terms and price on the sale of a property. These agreements are often used in real estate deals. The purchase and sale agreement dictates how the sale of a property or home will proceed.
The agreement comes after the Offer to Purchase. It supersedes the earlier document once it is signed.
