Though the advance payable on the specific transaction will be based on this document, herein called a proforma invoice, payment for it will not take place till delivery or possession is made.
- Seaway Bill: It is also known as a bill of lading and proves to be an official receipt instituted by the shipping agent. This confirms that the cargo is received by the authorities from the seller on board their vessel. This document is important because it binds the relevant seller and shipping line. It further acts as a document of title over the cargo.
- Insurance Certificate: This document acts as a custom list for specific goods being transported. It further guarantees insurance coverage in case of an accident resulting in the loss of a marina’s cargo.
- Certificate of Origin: For most cases, the bona fide certificate is provided by the United States Chamber of Commerce. It is an official statement that goods can come from a specific country if the production type meets the specified standards.
