What is a Board of Directors?
A board of directors, also called a board of shareholders or “the board,” is a group of individuals overseeing a startup’s fiduciary responsibilities. A startup board generally comprises founders, investors, and other individuals. The board composition is critical since they are a negotiating element when going after funding.
