Find Consulting Services Contract Templates by Type
As an experienced lawyer with nearly a decade of practical experience in contract drafting and civil litigation, I created this template human resources consulting agreement to help HR management professionals formalize their engagements with clients. In addition, I offer legal services packages set up if you need additional help with the template (i.e., reviewing it after you filled it out, needing help filling it out, etc.).
Overview of the Template Marketing Consultant Agreement
By way of background, my human resources consulting agreement helps establish the terms and conditions between an HR professional and a client. My template can be used to outline your services and payment details for a particular HR project, or a long-term engagement with a client.
What is Included in the Template Human Resources Consulting Agreement
My template human resources consulting agreement contains all relevant provisions associated with a formal engagement between an HR professional and a client. In addition, these provisions can be modified to suit your engagement. I also provide suggestions and recommendations to fill in various provisions. Let's take a look at some of the key sections of my template agreement:
- Engagement of Services: In this section, you can describe the type of HR services you intend to provide to the client, such as conducting a review of your client's current human resources policies and procedures, developing and implementing new human resources policies and procedures, providing training to your client's employees on HR topics; and so forth.
- Term and Termination: In this section, you can set forth the duration of the engagement between you and the client, along with a process for terminating the agreement, including termination for convenience, termination for breach, and termination for cause.
- HR Consultant's Responsibilities: This section can be used to detail your role and responsibilities as an HR consultant. This section can also describe what you intend to deliver to the client and what is expected of you during the engagement.
- Client's Responsibilities: This section describes what the client needs to do to ensure you can complete your deliverables and meet the stated expectations, such as providing you with all relevant information and materials.
- Compensation Structure: This section describes your fee structure (e.g., hourly, flat fee, etc.), reimbursement protocols for applicable expenses, and payment terms.
In addition to these sections, my template HR consulting agreement contains modifiable provisions addressing protections afforded to confidential information that may be shared between you and your client, rights associated with intellectual property, representations and warranties, indemnification, etc.
Who Should Use the Template Human Resources Consulting Agreement
The template HR consultant agreement can be used by individual HR professionals or HR consulting companies to formally engage with clients.
Benefits of Using the Template Human Resources Consultant Agreement
There are an array of benefits associated with using my template human resources consulting agreement. For example, having a formalized agreement in place between you and your client can help clearly establish expectations and deliverables. A formal consulting agreement also creates a record of accountability and can be used as evidence if there are any legal issues or disputes regarding the agreement or services provided.
If there is a legal dispute concerning the terms and conditions of the agreement, you may need to escalate the matter to litigation. If that situation arises, having an experienced attorney by your side can pay dividends. My legal services are available. If hired, I will be there for you every step of the way, offering clear communication, accurate legal guidance, and proactive solutions.
Quick, user friendly and one of the better ways I've come across to get ahold of lawyers willing to take new clients.
