I gained extensive experience in many areas of transactional law through my former position as corporate counsel at National Western Life Insurance Company and my current position as an Associate at Nance & Simpson, LLP.

My experience spans civil litigation, in-house counsel, and federal government service. I began my career at private civil litigation firms, primarily in the field of employment and labor law. I then moved in-house with a technology franchisor in Austin in 2016, where I served in the roles of In-House Counsel and Director of Legal and Human Resources. My legal work consisted of intellectual property (copyright/trademark), franchise law, employment law, corporate entity formation, contract drafting and negotiations, privacy law, marketing, and merger and acquisition. In 2019, I joined the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of General Counsel, where I developed an even broader skillset working with a team composed of several hundred attorneys and support staff. My legal work consisted of personal injury, employment (EEOC), real estate, entity formation, loans, foreclosures, bankruptcy, probate and trust, and administrative law, among other matters. At this time, I'm building my own practice, focused on meeting the needs of individuals and small businesses in a cost-effective manner.
