What is a Mutual Confidential Disclosure Agreement?
A mutual confidential disclosure agreement is a contract between two parties that prohibits both parties from sharing information protected by the agreement. The contract identifies the contract parties and states what information is to be held confidential by both. Another important goal of the mutual confidential disclosure agreement includes details regarding what actions can be taken if either party violates their obligations under the contract.
By drawing and signing a mutual confidential disclosure agreement, contract parties have the legal right to press charges in the event that confidential information is disclosed to unauthorized parties, regardless of the intent of the violating party.
