What is a Public Works Contract?
A public works contract is an agreement between a contractor and a public agency that procures contracting services to be paid for by public funding. This type of agreement entails that a job must be performed, or the design and execution of that job must be done. In addition, according to the explanation in Annex 2 of the Public Contracts Regulation of 2015, the work determined by the contracting authority, which affects the type or design of the work, must be carried out. Public works are often significant in terms of economy and politics. Public works contracts can be valid for recreation, aesthetics, economy, law, and neighborhood jobs.
