Hi, I'm a first time author and I have contract from a legit publisher in the UK. My editor,(also in publishing) marke it up a little with his concerns, for you. Although you would have caught it.
"I was very pleased with all the work Sara S. did as she knew both very technical details about the contract and also had good strategic ideas. One might want to ask how long the project might take, but in some ways that's largely up to you, like how many changes are your requesting and what do you want her to look at. For the flat fee, we got a lot done. And she has expertise in many areas if you look at her reviews, but it also doesn't hurt that she did a book with a hybrid publisher (one that you have to submit your book - one who I actually spoke to at one point, and they have to choose you.) All in all I think I think we covered quite a bit for the flat fee."
