What stood out was the follow-through. When I found a typo in one of the paragraphs he'd written, he confirmed the correction the same day and made a point of saying I could reach out again in the future. He was responsive throughout and easy to work with, and he clearly understood what a small software business actually needs rather than handing over boilerplate.
