If you break a lease can a landlord add crazy charges without an agreement?
I signed a lease 9/11 and tried to break it 9/13. Landlord charged me 60 days and did not provide an early termination agreement

Is there an early termination in the original document that you signed? Typically, you can withdraw from an agreement with minimal fees but it all depends on what your contract states. If you contract does not have any early termination language, you will need a real estate attorney in your state to advise on the law of your state and how to handle. All the best Donya Gordon

How to I get paid from this settlement without having to spend thousands on an attorney
Hello. Through legal help, I have a signed agreement with the other side to pay me $6500 in the settlement, after the other side did not deliver the product i signed on or. Before the attorneys got involved, I wrote a bad review about the 'others sides' business and posted it on the USREVIEW website. In the settlement agreement, i agreed to delete that post (review) however, i cannot. The 'other side' has the ability to have the review deleted, but he refuses to do so, using a stalling tactic not to pay me the settlement. The other side is in the UK. I have already wasted a lot of money on a lawyer from the U.S, he did not help much. I am now working with a lawyer in the UK, however, she is not sure that i will collect, even if we go to trial and win. Do i give up on this settlement, or is there another way to collect on the settlement without having to waste thousands of dollars?

Hello, It depends. Is your settlement court approved? Did you go to court and the court approved it or was it drafted by attorneys only? If it is not court approved, you can seek to have it approved by the court, however, you would need to be able to serve the person who is in the UK. Do they have a US address? will their lawyer accept service? Do they have property in the US? If yes, then you can sue in small claims court in NJ but only for $3,000.00, which is the limit but it is a process you can do by yourself with guidance. Otherwise if you want to sue for the full $6,500.00 your case should be filed in the regular Special Civil Part. Does the party have assets here in the US? you might want to hire an investigator (cheaper than an attorney) to locate any assets. If they do, then with your approved court settlement, you can attach the property or file a lien to get your money back. Chattel mortgage lease purchase in a cooperation
Solicited agent high pressure sales, gave me one piece of paper that I believe is a promissory note. No prospectus or lease. Owner/seller harassing me to voluntarily break lease. All payments are current. Owner knows I suspect fraud and is retaliating. I went to the DA 14 days into this without enough evidence, they said to talk to property managers. All property managers ignored my requests and canceled a meeting. I have been trying to get help for months. I recently had a 101 inspection done adding some extras and the property is in worse condition than I even imagined. I have online advertising screenshots of all the ads that were deceiving and misleading. I had no idea that I was getting into a REIT. This is absolutely 100% fraud. Investment scam. It's so complicated, it took me 7 months of researching relentlessly to see what these people did to me.

You are on the right in getting the DA involved. However, your issue is very specific and you need someone with experience and expertise to assist you going further. I encourage you to post your job to the website seeking a lawyer licensed in the state you are in and who has experience in handling cases such as this so that you will have an experienced advocate by your side in getting to a resolution. Should I sign a contract if I don't understand what it is saying?
Has a contract with someone where if we disagreed we would go to mediation. They refused to go, they offered us a settlement as long as we signed another contract. I don't understand fully what it is saying.

Absolutely NOT. You never sign ANYTHING you do not understand because when you sign, you become bound to those terms whether you understood them or not or whether you agree with them or not. Should you later have a disagreement on the contract you signed, the court, or arbitrator will see your signature on the document as a sign that you read, understood and agreed to the terms. You will need to hire an attorney to review the initial agreement to see if they can refuse mediation as well as to look at the new contract and let you know what it says and whether you should sign it or not. Should I get a cease and desist letter?
I have an ex partner who has become out of nowhere disgruntled and left an angry comment on my business page that was something offensive to my client and that I disagreed with. It's been a few weeks of silence and Wednesday they texted me a very angry message about how removing their comment was an unethical business practice and a lot of other accusations about my being cruel to animals, have them in unsafe conditions or that I am the cause of my fosters kittens death, as well as leaving a review on my business page stating the same things. All of these statements are untrue. It's not uncommon to loose kittens when you foster sick neonatal kittens. As far as the conditions my cats are in, I can prove with photos and videos that were sent to this person in private messages were not bad but actually full of enriching toys, supplies, clean and I have people whom regularly are in my home that witness this. I'm unsure whether or not they're going to escalate since Facebook took the review down but this person has a long history of mental illness and I'm afraid of how a bad review like they gave me being posted and not getting removed would do for my business.

If these comments are made on the Facebook platform, I would advise you to use their dispute resolution procedures. I also suggest you respond to any future negative comments from your ex-partner by contradicting the negative statements. If the comments continue to excess and you are unable to resolve through Facebook procedures, then a cease and desist may be warranted. That also may not stop the comments so you may need to seek other legal remedies.
