What is a Before-tax Income?
Pre-tax income, before-tax income, or earnings before tax refers to the end total in an income statement prior to net income. Apart from taxes, you can find this metric in all deductions that involve sales revenue. Before-tax income deductions include depreciation and amortization, interest expense, and cost of goods sold.
