What is Price Per Share?
When shares in a startup are issued, the value of each share is determined and then placed up for sale. When the price that a startup wants for a share coincides with the amount that an investor is willing to pay for it, the price per share is established. Essentially, a price per share is the cost that one would pay to own one share in the startup.
