Childhood experiences led me to exploration within an undergraduate philosophy course that centered on the question if there is a way to enforce an environmental ethic based on the U.S. Constitution. I have continued to explore and pursue that question. I currently live in the Eel River watershed, and am deeply interested in free flowing healthy rivers and tributaries. As I begin my legal career, I plan to work for ecological health, and towards shifting paradigms from property rights to collective ecological responsibilities, especially through dam removal and Ancestral land access and Land Back/rematriation models.
