What is an Unit Price Contract?
A unit price contract is an agreement between a supplier and an entity purchasing items from them that sets the cost that will be paid per unit sold. The contract includes details about what the item is, what its value is, and how the quantity purchased might affect the price paid per unit. For example, many suppliers opt to charge a higher price per unit on orders that have fewer units. Orders for large amounts of product, on the other hand, can be sold at a discount per the agreement.
The purpose of the unit price contract is to accurately inform buyers of their supplier cost.
