What is a Secured Loan?
We can define a secured loan as a loan backed or supported by collateral. Some of the most common kinds of secured loans are car loans and mortgages. When you will apply for a secured loan, the bank will ask which kind of collateral you will put up to "back" your loan.
If you default or stop making payments on the loan, the lender has the right to seize the collateral that you used to secure your loan.
