What are Operating Expenses?
Operating expenses refer to the amount of money that a fund spends on staying in businesses. These expenses are considered crucial to the survival of the fund and can include things like rent, payroll, and insurance. It’s important for funds to keep track of their operating expenses because the IRS allows them to deduct operating expenses from their taxes each year.
