What is Chipset?
A chipset refers to an interdependent group of integrated circuits. These motherboard chips can control data flow and instructions from the central processing unit to external devices. Ultimately, a chipset controls memory cache, external buses, and even peripherals.
Without impressive chipset timing, a CPU cannot function at all. A modern chipset revolves around circuit board layout and circuit mechanisms. The variety of a chipset includes modem cards and microprocessor chipsets.
