What is a Temporary Access Agreement?
A temporary access agreement gives certain people permission to enter a person’s property for specific reasons, for a particular duration of time. Cases of temporary access agreements include hiring contractors, or instances where a government agency needs to perform work that requires access to a private residence or commercial property.
Temporary access agreements are often used by governments to build infrastructure, such as roads. In these cases, a temporary access agreement may allow a government agency to perform work on private property.
Some temporary access agreements include compensation to the property owner in exchange for access and use of their property.
