I'm in general practice with an emphasis on real estate, litigation, and contracts
Michelle T.
I am an experienced, well-rounded attorney with a background specializing in trusts and estates, contracts and business law. I have extensive experience working with simple contracts all the way up to multi-million dollar deals.
"Michelle drafted an excellent and unique Post Nuptial agreement which outlines a very specific "process" that will be used to divide assets in the event of divorce. Since assets can change value daily, traditional "splitting an asset list" methods are often outdated within a week of signing. Michelle rose to the challenge at a very reasonable price. Other, "meter man" attorneys would have charged at least 5x more. I highly recommend Michelle!"

Randy M.
Hi, I'm Randy, and I've been practicing law for over 30 years with a genuine passion for contracts and legal drafting. I spent nearly 15 years running my own solo practice in Richmond, Virginia, where I built a thriving firm helping everyone from small business owners to entertainment professionals navigate their legal needs. Those years taught me that great contracts aren't just about covering all the bases legally - they're about understanding what my clients actually need and translating that into clear, enforceable agreements. My sweet spot is contract drafting across a wide range of areas. I've written hundreds of LLC operating agreements (both single and multi-member), prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, residential and commercial leases, independent contractor agreements, service contracts, NDAs, consulting agreements, and corporate formation documents. I also have extensive experience in estate planning documents - wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and living wills - plus employment agreements and entertainment law contracts. These days I'm based in New York City, but I work with clients nationwide on contract matters. What I love most about this work is taking complex business relationships and turning them into documents that actually make sense and protect everyone involved. Whether you're a startup founder needing your first operating agreement or an established business updating your contractor templates, I focus on creating contracts that work in the real world, not just on paper. After three decades of practice, I still get excited about a well-crafted contract. Let's talk about how I can help with yours.
"Randy did a thorough job and was timely. He addressed every detail and was very knowledgable about my industry."

Dental Associate Contract
Washington
Dental associate contract malpractice insurance?
I recently signed a dental associate contract with a practice in my local area. I am concerned about the malpractice insurance that is included in the contract, as I am not sure if the coverage is adequate. I am also unsure of the type of insurance that is provided and what it covers. I would like to know what the risks are in regards to my malpractice insurance and how I can ensure that I am properly protected.
Merry K.
I am a WA State attorney. For starters, obtain a copy of your policy, print it, and read it carefully, using a yellow highlighter to highlight your questions/concerns, while making notes on a notepad. Check with independent malpractice insurers in WA to determine typical amounts of coverage in your field and county. Consider buying more on your own and/or an umbrella policy. Check with instructors, mentors, and colleagues in your field to seek guidance on adequate coverage.

Acceptable Use Policy
Georgia
Can I be held legally responsible for violating an Acceptable Use Policy?
I work for a large technology company and recently discovered that I unintentionally violated our company's Acceptable Use Policy by using company resources for personal purposes. Although I did not realize this was against the policy, I'm concerned about potential legal consequences and whether I can be held personally liable for any damages or disciplinary actions as a result of this violation.
Sara S.
Hi, Your employee handbook may have the answer to this and is worth a review with a qualified attorney. Attorneys skilled in intellectual property may be able to give you more insight as well.

Noncompete Agreement
Delaware
Employee contract, such as non compete/non solicit, could having this contract ever result in criminal/jail time?
If someone accuses you of fraud, because they believe you never had intended to honor your employment contract such as non-compete/non-solicit. Could this ever become a criminal case, resulting in criminal/jail time?
Matthew S.
No, at worst, it is a breach of a contract which is a civil matter to be handled in civil court.

Termination Letter
Arizona
Can I dispute the termination mentioned in my termination letter?
I recently received a termination letter from my employer stating that I am being let go due to alleged poor performance, but I strongly believe that this decision is unjustified and unfair. Throughout my employment, I consistently met or exceeded performance expectations and received positive feedback from both colleagues and clients. I would like to know if I have any grounds to dispute this termination and potentially seek legal recourse to protect my rights and reputation.
Richard C.
You can reach out to the employer and contest the termination, citing what you’ve mentioned above. If discrimination is a possibility of why you were terminated, you may want to consider an EEOC complaint (note time is an important factor here). However, a demand letter may be the best first step to try and reach a satisfactory resolution for all parties.

What can I do as a Teacher if employer won’t give me my hiring agreement in writing.
I was forced out of GA Pre K program and placed in aPrivate Pre K room as Lead teacher but employer won’t give me any paperwork in regards to pay and position. I’ve been asking since November 2021
Sunnita B.
I would inquire with Human Resources. If they don’t assist ask whomever is above them. If that fails, have an attorney submit the request.
Quick, user friendly and one of the better ways I've come across to get ahold of lawyers willing to take new clients.
