What is a Majority Shareholder?
A majority shareholder is either a person or an entity that owns and controls more than 50% of a company. Majority shareholders enjoy the rights to help make important decisions about a company. While majority shareholders can sometimes be owners or founders, anyone can hold the position. It’s important to note that a majority shareholder owns stock in a company, not the company itself
