Project Description

In 2025, a personal client in Illinois sought assistance with drafting a home improvement contract for a smaller remodeling project valued at $40,000 to $50,000. The client needed a formal agreement to ensure protection, given that the investor would pay only after the property sold, a departure from their usual arrangement. This contract was essential to outline the terms clearly and safeguard the client's interests in this atypical investment scenario. As a result, the client received five proposals from licensed lawyers, with flat fee bids ranging from $699 to $1,500. All proposals were thoughtfully submitted to meet the client's deadline of less than one week.

Getting ripped off and over charged

Signed a contract and was told I'm getting top of the line products and I'm actually getting a lesser grade everything. I called within the 3 days and the contractor won't cancel the contract. I can't afford to be ripped off...

I suggest you place a proposal on this forum so lawyers can review and you can schedule a consultation. A lawyer needs to review the terms of the contract you reference.
