Project Description

In 2026, a personal client in Texas sought assistance with drafting a home improvement contract after experiencing issues with the installation of a solar system addition. The client was misled into believing the installation was complimentary, with claims that it would be covered by the system's overproduction. However, they later discovered it was a long-term lease agreement with ongoing monthly payments, which had not been clearly communicated. As a result, the client received five proposals from licensed lawyers, with flat fee bids ranging from $395 to $1,100, all submitted to meet the client's requested deadline of over a week.

Getting ripped off and over charged

Signed a contract and was told I'm getting top of the line products and I'm actually getting a lesser grade everything. I called within the 3 days and the contractor won't cancel the contract. I can't afford to be ripped off...

I suggest you place a proposal on this forum so lawyers can review and you can schedule a consultation. A lawyer needs to review the terms of the contract you reference.
