What is a Runway?
When a startup gets funding from investments, they use that money to fund expansion, start new projects, and even pay for overhead costs. The costs that go into running the company determines a burn rate, or the amount of money that a company spends. A runway refers to the amount of time a company has based on their current financial situation before they run out of liquid assets (cash).

Examples of runway:

- Example 2. Used to determine how much time a company has to start making a profit
- Example 3. Can be used to determine when a new round of fundraising should begin
- Example 4. Helps companies create a better financial roadmap
