Project Description

In 2024, a personal client in Illinois posted a project seeking assistance with reviewing a home improvement contract. Given the significant financial implications of the project, the client wanted to ensure that the contract delivered on the promised benefits, particularly regarding the tax incentives and the absence of hidden fees. They were especially concerned about the validity of the stated tax credits and any consumer protection issues related to the installation process. As a result, the client received eight proposals from licensed lawyers, with flat fee bids ranging from $399 to $1,800, all submitted to complete the work within the requested deadline of over a week.

Getting ripped off and over charged

Signed a contract and was told I'm getting top of the line products and I'm actually getting a lesser grade everything. I called within the 3 days and the contractor won't cancel the contract. I can't afford to be ripped off...

I suggest you place a proposal on this forum so lawyers can review and you can schedule a consultation. A lawyer needs to review the terms of the contract you reference.
