What is a Personal License?
In a general sense, a personal license permits or authorizes the holder to supply or sell an item on licensing terms. Just like a commercial license, a personal license ensures the legal and professional authority to use or exploit software or hardware.
In the IT landscape, personal license refers to intellectual property. Also, the licensee can use the same license for organizational use. The “personal” in a license could be about an assignment or set of restrictions that may make forbid sub-licensing.
