What is a licensee?
A licensee is an individual or organization that has been issued a license by a company or agency with the right or authority to issue the license. Note that in intellectual property law, usually, a licensee is a company or entity that has limited permissions and rights to use a trademark, patent, or other intellectual property. The license or permission can be given on either an express or implied basis.
